Does your Insurance Cover any of our Services?
Call us... we may be able to assist you in this process. We are in the process of contracting with an independent medical biller to assist us in the insurance reimbursement process.
Each benefit plan defines which services are covered, which are excluded, and which are subject to dollar caps or other limits. Members and their providers will need to consult the member's benefit plan to determine if there are any exclusions or other benefit limitations applicable to a service or supply.
Call Your Insurance Provider and Do the Following:
1. Tell you Insurance Provider that you are seeking Naturopathic Services, or complementary and alternative medicine. You may have to explain what an Naturopathic Medical Doctor is (see "Integrative Medicine" and "Scope of Practice in AZ links").
2. If the representative answers quickly "No, Naturopathic Services are not covered", then you need to ask:
"Does my plan SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDE services performed by
a Naturopathic Medical Doctor?"
Make the representative READ the plan and be 110% sure that Naturpathic Medical Doctors ARE or ARE NOT excluded!
If it doesn't specifically exclude Naturopathic Medical Doctors, then you may be eligible to e get full or partial reimbursement for visits, procedures and labs ordered/drawn at our office.
Other things you may need to know is whether a licensed NMD can request the evaluation of Lab work under your plan.
